At the heart of the R3KCE is an advanced double-top soundboard, constructed from two ultra-thin layers of solid koa with a carbon fibre lattice core. This innovative design allows the top to be thinner and lighter than a traditional solid koa top while remaining incredibly strong and stable. The result is a guitar that is highly resonant, ultra-responsive, and impressively loud, with outstanding dynamic range and projection.

The all-koa body not only offers stunning exotic figure and warmth but also delivers a smooth, focused tonal character with a pleasing high-end chime and articulate mids. Rich bass response is present without overwhelming the clarity, making this guitar equally suited to fingerstyle, strumming, and dynamic live performance.

Shaped in Rathbone’s No.3 Grand Auditorium body style, the R3KCE combines the scale length of an Orchestra Model with body dimensions closer to a dreadnought. This larger air cavity enhances low-end depth while the elegantly contoured waist ensures superb playing comfort whether seated or standing.

Finished in a gloss lacquer and fitted with quality hardware throughout, the R3KCE also features an onboard 3-band EQ with built-in tuner, making it stage-ready straight out of the case.
